PROGRAM:

DAY 1: – picking up from the airport;

check-in at the hotel in Bucharest;

– short walk in the city center;

– dinner and accommodation;

DAY 2: – breakfast;

-we will visit the Village Museum and the Palace of Parliament (the 2nd biggest administrative building in the world, after the Pentagon);

– free time in the afternoon;

– dinner and accommodation in Bucharest;

DAY 3: – breakfast;

– departure to Brasov;

– on the way we will visit: Peles Castle, the summer residence of the royal family, is one of Romania’s most visited historic edifice, unique by its historical and artistic significance the Castle is one of the most important monuments of its kind in Europe;

– short walk in the city center;

– dinner and accommodation in Brasov;

DAY 4: – breakfast;

– visit to the Bran Castle: (known as Dracula’s Castle) and the șnov Fortress (the șnov Fortress is a an old village fortress that has been the best preserved of all. It was build in the 13th century by the local villagers to defend themselves from the Tatar invaders);

dinner and accommodation in Brasov;

DAY 5: – breakfast;

-on the way to the medieval city of Sighisoara we will visit: the Saxon Fortress in Viscri (one of the most spectacular, the oldest and the best reserved fortified church in Transylvania, being included on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Through Mihai Eminescu Trust, Prince Charles himself involved in renovation of the church and few houses from the village giving them back a bit of the initial shining. Not only the isolation of the village but also the absence of other occupations besides agriculture, made Two Germans who established here to initiate the Sosete project at the end the the ’90-s);

– visit to the Sigisoara Fortress ( the city was founded by the German settles. Vlad Dracul the 2nd stayed in this city for a period waiting for the best moment to take over the power in the Romanian Province. It seems that in this period (1431) was born his sun Vlad the Impaler (alias Dracula));

dinner and accommodation in Sighisoara;

DAY 6: – breakfast;

– on the way to Sibiu (the 2007 European Cultural Capital) we will visit: Biertan (was one of the first settlements established by Saxons in Transylvania. The village records appear in documents since 1283. For almost three centuries Biertan was the headquarters of the Saxon Episcopacy in Transylvania and therefore around the Biertan church was build one of the strongest fortresses in Transylvania. In 1993 the site was included on the UNESCO World Heritage list); Medias (old city center  –  St. Margaret Church, Tropmenti Tower – in 1969 was one of the tallest buildings in the world and because of its bent the tower occupies the 6th place in the world and the 3rd in Europe);

– visit to the ASTRA Museum in Sibiu (the museum of Traditional Folkloric Techniques, the biggest outdoor museum in Europe)

– free time in Sibiu city center;

– dinner and accommodation in Sibiu;

DAY 7: breakfast;

– trip to Alba Iulia (the first capital of the 3 Romanian provinces. In December 1918 in Alba Iulia has been proclaimed the Union of Transylvania and and Banat with the Kingdom of Romania);

– visit to the Fortress ( built in Vauban style with 7 bulwarks gathers as a star. It was build between 1716 and 1735 after the Italian architect Giovanni Morando Visconti, being the most impressive building of its kind from the South East Europe, specially due to the imposing gates);

–  dinner and accommodation in Sibiu;

DAY 8: – breakfast;

-on the way to Bucharest we will visit Cozia Monastery which is set in one of the most picturesque of the Carpathian landscapes which are the pride of Oltenia region.

Overnight in Bucharest.

DAY  9: breakfast;

– transfer to the airport

– end of our services.

 

 

NOTES:

-The price is calculated for a group of minimum 37 persons; in case the group will not be reached, the price will be recalculated

-On request the rout can change as well as the visiting points.

-The travel agency reserves its right to change the order of the attractions in the program as well as the accommodation, but this will not affect the price or the itinerary.

-The name of the hotel will be announced 10 days before the trip.

-The deadline for the last information about the trip will be 15 days before the beginning of the trip.

-Reservations are made on a 30% to 40 % of front deposit base.
